Due to the high number of missed appointments the Practice has found it necessary to adopt a strict Did Not Attend (DNA) Policy. This action has been taken due to the amount of clinical time lost due to patients not attending or cancelling their pre-booked appointments.
Whilst it is understood that often the reason for the non-attendance is understandable, it is difficult for the Practice to make a judgement – the end result is always the same, namely a lost appointment and someone else could need the appointment that you have not attended.
Thank you to those patients who do take the time to cancel their pre-booked appointments. But do remember, if you don’t give us at least 24 hour’s notice you will be marked as having not attended as it is unlikely we can find anyone else to fill the appointment at short notice.
Please note: the computer system automatically marks the patient’s record that they have failed to attend for an appointment.
