CHANGE OF WORKING DUE TO COVID

Staff will take triage details i.e. ask what is wrong with you and how long it has been going on. If you have tried any medication, what medication, how long been taking. If the problem is a 'minor ailment' as advised by CCG you will be directed to your local chemist who has license to treat minor illness. If not a minor ailment you will be asked what you want/expect from the triage i.e. do you want a prescription, or advice? If you are requesting an appointment, the problem will be passed to GP to assess whether a face to face is necessary. If you need to be seen, you will need to be available immediately and will be asked how long it will take you to arrive at surgery. Appointments are on same day as requesting, not in advance. As the phones are extremely busy during these difficult times, it may be advisable to attend surgery in person.
